RAYN and CropKing Partner for an EdRack Hydroponic Workshop at the Mid-Ohio Collective

Posted by Bryce Corning on Mar 11th 2026

Recently, the RAYN team had the amazing opportunity to host a workshop for STEM and Ag educators alongside one of our partner organizations, CropKing. The event was hosted by the Mid-Ohio Food Collective, a nonprofit that operates the largest food bank in Ohio and educates the community on healthy diet practices and food insecurity.

The Workshop brought teachers from around Ohio together to learn about foundational hydroponics concepts such as pH, EC, and TDS, paired with hands-on exploration of the RAYN EdRack. Industry experts from CropKing’s team led the presentation, with teachers hearing directly from professionals on how CEA can provide engaging, standards-aligned learning while spotlighting real career pathways for students in agritech, horticulture, and sustainable food systems.

Teachers in attendance were also given a tour of the wonderful facilities at the Mid-Ohio Food Collective, including food production areas, food bank, and more, to gain a better understanding of how the non-profit combats food insecurity across the state.

Thank you to all our educator participants and the team at CropKing for their support, and a special thank you to the Mid-Ohio Food Collective for hosting this amazing event. To learn more about how the EdRack can transform your classroom, visit www.RAYN.ag/microrack.
